Alison Perkins

PGA AA Professional Coach

With over 30 years of coaching experience, my passion for golf is as strong today as when I first picked up a club. My journey, enriched by both triumphs and challenges, has been a continuous learning experience. I’m committed to helping you discover your best golf game or swing, understanding that each individual’s path is unique. By exploring how you move and think, we can work together to make meaningful improvements tailored just for you.

I offer coaching for golfers of all levels—from complete beginners to aspiring professionals—and for players of all ages and genders. Drawing on my experiences with top players and coaches worldwide, I’m excited to guide you toward better and more enjoyable golf.

In our sessions, I focus on making learning engaging and effective. While I use tools like video analysis and launch data when needed, my priority is to provide a supportive environment where you can thrive. My academy features excellent facilities, including undercover floodlit bays, outdoor bays, a grass hitting area, short game facilities, a bunker, and sloped putting mats.

I take pride in offering a personal touch with detailed session notes, feedback, and customized plans. My golf journey began at age 14, driven by the game’s challenges. By age 19, I achieved a 4 handicap and began my coaching career at Newmarket Links Golf Club. Since turning professional in 1994 and qualifying through the PGA National Training Academy at the Belfry in 1999, I’ve developed a deep love for both playing and coaching golf.

I’m especially passionate about encouraging young golfers and providing opportunities for kids to get involved in the game. I offer tailored sessions designed to introduce children to golf in a fun, supportive environment. Whether they’re just starting out or looking to refine their skills, these sessions aim to inspire a lifelong love for the game while developing important skills both on and off the course.

As a coach who has navigated significant personal challenges, I’ve returned to golf with renewed focus and a commitment to helping others. My experiences have been featured in a BBC documentary with Martina Navratilova and on Sky Sports Golf, and I’ve worked with Loughborough University on studies related to athlete performance.

My dedication to fairness in sport, personal growth, and fostering a love of golf, especially among young people, drives me to make every session meaningful and enjoyable. Let’s work together to make golf an exciting and rewarding experience for you and the next generation of golfers.
